<p>Methods (300, 700) for transferring data from a first computer system to a second computer system is provided. Generally, in the first method (300), data from a plurality of first source database records is packed into a small set of large records (304). The small set of large records is transferred from the first computer system to the second computer system (308). The small set of large records is then unpacked into a plurality of database records (312). Generally, in the second method (700), a plurality of source databases are encapsulated into a single database (704). the encapsulated database is transferred from the first computer system to the second computer system (708). The single encapsulated database is unpacked into a plurality of destination databases (712).</p> |
