LAULIMALIDE COMPOUNDS AS MICROTUBULE STABILIZING AGENTS

Methods of inhibiting the proliferation of hyperproliferative mammalian cells having a multiple drug resistant phenotype utilizing an amount of a laulimalide compound effective to disrupt the dynamic state of microtubule polymerization and depolymerization to arrest cell mitosis are disclosed, together with laulimalide compounds (and compositions containing same) which find use in such methods.
