M=H or an alkali metal; R<1-10>=H, Me, Et, OMe or OEt; Y=vinyl or -CH2CH2-U (U=Cl, OSO3M or SSO3M); R=H, Me, SO3M, COOM or -SO2-Y; Z<1>,Z<2>=2-5C alkanoyl, benzoyl, 2,4-dichloro-1,3,5-triazin-6-yl or 2-(R(SP>o-substd. phenylamino)-4-X-substd.-1,3,5-triazin-6-yl (X=Cl or -NHCN; R degrees =SO3M, COOM or -SO2-Y); the -NH-Z<2> gp. in (III) is in the 2- or 3-position of the 6-sulpho-8-hydroxy- naphth-2-yl gp.
