PURPOSE: A virtual pet keeping system and method is provided to enable a user to keep the virtual pet, to play a game with others over the Internet by using the kept animal, e.g. a horse racing or a fighting, and to participate in a virtual pet contest. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a server(100), a bank system(24), a user interface(26), and a network interface(25). The server(100) includes a code processor(6), a RAM(7), a ROM(8), an operator module(9), a payment processor(10), a central process unit(11) and a clock generator(12) and a database(101). The code processor(6) processes an ID and a secret number of a participating user. The payment processor(10) pays a prize money to a winner in the case that the user participates in a game or a contest and wins a prize in the event. The database(101) stores personal data of the participating user and data of the virtual pets. The bank system(24) enables the user to pay an event participation fee or receive a winning prize money. The user interface(26) interfaces a computer of the participating user. The network interface(25) interfaces the user interface(26) with the server(100). |
