BIDIRECTIONAL WITH TWO STAGES-OPTICAL AMPLIFIER

PURPOSE: A bidirectional with two stages-optical amplifier is provided to share the second stage optical amplifying device of with two stages-optical amplifier structure upon bidirectional transmission to make the bidirectional amplification possible by using one amplifying device. CONSTITUTION: The high output amplifying part receives input signal light and pump light simultaneously and makes the amplifying device which generates the amplification within an erbium-doped fiber with two stages to increase output strength. The gain flattening device flattens the gain characteristic for each wavelength using the gain flattening filter between two-stages. The bidirectional amplifying device shares the later part amplifying device at the two-stages amplifying devices for bi-direction each other to make the bidirectional amplification possible using one amplifying device.
