PURPOSE: An inspecting and repairing apparatus for an LCD is provided to reduce the volume and the manufacturing cost by installing a repairing unit in the same module as an inspecting unit. CONSTITUTION: A loader(52) transports a liquid crystal panel for inspection into an inspecting and repairing apparatus(80) from the outside. An unloader(54) transports the liquid crystal panel out of the inspecting and repairing apparatus(80) after inspection, and identifies the unique identification number of the liquid crystal panel. An inspecting unit(58) receives the liquid crystal panel for inspection. An identification information recording unit(60) reads the unique identification number of the liquid crystal panel. A reversing unit(62) reverses the liquid crystal panel. A laser repairing unit(64) repairs defective pixels of the liquid crystal panel. A robot(56) transports the liquid crystal panel on the loader(52) to the inspecting unit(58) or the same on the inspecting unit(58) to the unloader(54).
