A water-soluble or water-dispersible polymeric salt , is new. A water-soluble or water-dispersible polymeric salt comprises: (1) at least one polymer, PA, which contains free acid groups and a neutralizing agent, and which is based on a compound VA with one or more free amino groups per molecule; or (2) at least one polymer, PB, which contains free amino groups and a neutralizing agent, and which is either based on one or more di- or polyvalent inorganic acids and/or one or more compounds VB with at least two free acidic groups per molecule. VA and VB also contain one or more hydrophilic groups selected from ionogenic and/or ionic groups, divalent polyether groups and/or divalent groups from pyrrolidone-containing polymers. |
