Wet grinding ball mill apparatus, for dispersing suspensions to colloidal fineness, comprises a cylindrical vessel 1 having end covers 2, 11, an input neck 4 for a suspension to be milled, and an impeller shaft 9 sealed by a box 3, in which the axis of the vessel 1 and the shaft 9 is horizontal or inclined up to 40 degrees to the horizontal. The vessel also includes a wide neck 5 into which a box 6 with a screen 7 and a dispersion discharge pipe 8 may be inserted, and stirring discs 10 secured to the shaft. In a modification, fixed flat or dished discs may be placed between the discs 10. Stirring arms may be used in place of the discs. |
