PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a damage to a body panel resulting from a frontal-collision load on the arch part of an automotive bumper. SOLUTION: An arch part 1A bent from a frontal part 1a rearward at a corner part is screwed to the bottom panel of a body front part positioned over a screw inserting hole 11 through the screw inserting hole 11 formed in a synthetic resin plate like screw seat 10 provided on the rear surface of the arch part. A clearance 18 is formed between the front end 19 of the screw seat 10 and the arch front part 1A. A laterally oblong hole-shaped clearance groove 12 communicating with the screw inserting hole 11, extending midway to a front end 19, and smaller in width than the outside diameter of a screw so as to relief the screw from an impact load applied from the front to the arch front part 1A and a thin wall thickness part 13 reaching from the clearance groove 12 to the front end 19 and smaller in wall thickness than that around the screw inserting hole 11 are formed on the screw seat 10 in the area ranging from the screw inserting hole 11 to the front end 19.
