PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire with enhanced the turning stability and vibration absorbency as well as the high-speed durability. SOLUTION: A spiral belt 26 spirally wound along the circumferential direction of a crown part 18 is embedded in the crown part 18 in the outer circumferential side of a carcass 12. A cross belt 28 with a cord extending at an angle 0-45 deg. relative to the axis crossing at right angles with the circumferential direction of the crown part 18 is arranged in the outer circumference side of the spiral belt 26. The cross belt 28 is formed with an opening 30 in its center. Where the interval between the inside ends of the cross belt 28 across the opening 30 is set to L and the whole width along the arc of the tire surface of the crown part 18 is set to TW, the value L/TW is set within the range of 0.045<L/TW<0.53.
