PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display case having an inexpensive and simple structure capable of illuminating the subject to be displayed without impairing the appearance of the display case. SOLUTION: The display case includes a case body 2 with a closed storage space S for storing the subject to be displayed E, luminaires 4 disposed within the case body 2, and luminaire storage elements 5 for storing the luminaires 4 while the luminaires are isolated from the storage space S. Air warmed by the luminaires 4 in the luminaire storage elements 5 is exhausted out of the case body 2 by means of a fan 6.
