PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pattern displaying device with a pattern belt, capable of detecting the slip of the design belt and accurately controlling the same. SOLUTION: A controller 70 inputs a mark signal (S201: YES), and judges the noise when the mark signal is input at a timing earlier than a predetermined detecting timing (S202). When the slip mark signal is delayed from the predetermined timing, the slip of the pattern belt 12 is judged (S205: YES). The number of steps of a stepping motor 18 corresponding to the delay time R is calculated (S206), and a counted value of the step counter 71 is reduced by the number corresponding to the calculated number of steps (S207). As the counted value of the step counter 71 is corrected when the slip is detected, a rotating position of the pattern belt 12 can be correctly recognized, and accurately controlled.
