PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a near end detector for rolled paper capable of surely detecting a near end of the rolled paper and flexibly coping with the case of changing the roll diameter in detecting the near end. SOLUTION: Both of a first detecting projecting part k1 provided on the side of a rolled paper storing part 102 for storing the rolled paper R drawn out toward a print part to roll, and displaced to the inside r1 of a hollow core part of the rolled paper when the roll diameter of the rolled paper becomes a designated value or less and the rolled paper position is lowered, and a second detecting projecting part k2 capable of displacing along the outer periphery r2 of the rolled paper are displaced to the inside of the storing part to thereby switch the output of a near end detecting switch (micro-switch 8).
