PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide detection marks for belt-shaped objects which can prevent the belt-shaped objects from being imitates and a detecting mechanism therefor. SOLUTION: The detection marks 16, 16, etc., to be printed to a belt-shaped mount 12 corresponding to labels 14, 14, etc., of the label continuous body 10 are printed by an ink which is colorless and transparent under a natural light and generates a visible light when exposed to light beams of a specific wavelength region. Whether the detection marks 16 are applied or not to the label continuous body 10 cannot be visually judged under the natural light, and therefore easy production of imitations is prevented. The detection marks 16 can be easily detected by irradiating light beams of the specific wavelength region and detecting an emitted light by the irradiation.
