HIGH DAMPING RUBBER COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high damping rubber composition having high damping properties without lowering temperature dependence and mechanical characteristics. SOLUTION: This high damping rubber composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of a rubber composed of a natural rubber as a main component and another rubber, 50-150 pts.wt. of total of carbon black and silica and 10-50 pts.wt. of a petroleum resin and has the weight ratio of carbon black to silica of 75/25 to 25/75. The characteristics of the carbon black satisfy 100-150 m2/g nitrogen adsorption specific surface area and 60-160 ml/100 g DBP oil absorption of carbon black.
