HIGHLY RESISTANT CARBON BLACK AND COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly resistant carbon black having a high light insulation rate and a low surface reflectivity and capable of providing a thin film black matrix. SOLUTION: The surface of this highly resistant carbon black is covered with a resin and has 1,000Ω.cm or higher volume specific resistance. Preferably, a multifunctional epoxy resin is used as the resin, and its coverage is selected from the range of 5-40 wt.% to the total of the carbon black and the resin, and the resin-covered carbon black has a pH of 5 or higher.
