A construction component is claimed comprising a matrix (43) with a hard binder base (42) and at least one reinforcing element made up of a network (12) of tangled filaments (11) distributed in a manner that is approximately homogenous throughout the network (12). These filaments (11) are assembled between themselves in a permanent fashion by a number of contact points (14) distributed over the whole network (12) and assure the geometric stability of the reinforcing element (13). The filaments (11) are preferably welded at these contact points (14).The reinforcing element (13) itself is also claimed. The method for producing this reinforcing element (13) is also claimed and comprises: (a) the production of the filaments (11); and (b) assembling the filaments (11) in an approximately homogenous fashion to form the network (12). |
