PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectron system with easy assembly and matching high accuracy by low costs, and a small space occupation demand capable of being used in, for example, a comparator or other random portable or small sized measuring devices. SOLUTION: This photoelectron system for a size measuring device comprises a transparent ruler 30 comprising at least one scale portion provided with a series of opaque scales 31, a light emitter 20, a light detector 21, and an integrated optical block 1 concentrating a ray beam generated from the light emitter 20 on the scale portion 31 and concentrating the ray beam having passed through the ruler 30 on the light detector 21. The optical block 1, the light emitter 20 and the light detector are mounted on the same printed wiring circuit board 2. The optical block 1 comprises optical surfaces arranged facing each face of the ruler 30.
