PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To visually confirm the telephone number of the transfer destination in a facsimile machine having a transfer function. SOLUTION: When the transmission of a status list is requested (Yes in S113), image information for status list to be sent to a machine B is prepared (S115). In addition to the telephone number of the transfer destination, the facsimile number and telephone number of the facsimile machine are held in an EEPROM 18 and on the basis of these data, the status list is prepared so as to contain a facsimile number '0-xxx-xxx-3333' of this facsimile machine in addition to the transfer destination telephone number '0-0123456789'. Next, a CUP 12 sends the image information of the status list to the side of a telephone line 40 (S116). Corresponding to this operation, an operator presses a start switch for facsimile receiving, while picking up the handset of the machine B. Thus, the image information of the sent status list is received and printed on the side of the equipment B.
