PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method of pulp for building material by using a penetration test capable of evaluating the degree of an influence exerted on hardenability of cement by pulp before being used. SOLUTION: In this evaluation method of the pulp for building material for evaluating hardening hindrance on the cement by the pulp used as reinforcing fiber for cement-based inorganic building material, the penetration test is used, in which opened pulp, the cement and water are stirred and taken out into a vessel, and after curing, a hardness tester 6 is penetrated into the surface of cement slurry 5, and the value thereof is read, and by introducing this test, such problems as occurrence of necessity for re-curing and of a defective product due to unhardened cement are solved and production efficiency is improved as curing time is unnecessary to be prolonged.
