PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone system with further enhanced convenience for the automatic telephone answering service where even when a called party does not possess an automatic telephone answering service function, the called party utilizes the automatic telephone answering service function of a caller to record a message to as to allow the called party can confirm the presence of the message and its contents immediately after the called party reaches a speech available state. SOLUTION: A mail address converter 6 converts a telephone number of a subscriber B into an electronic mail address. A message arrival notice unit 7 informs the electronic mail address obtained by the mail address converter 6 about the information denoting the arrival of a message from a subscriber A. In the case that the subscriber B has an automatic telephone answering service function and the subscriber B does not have the function, a central controller 22 records the message to an automatic telephone answering recording area of a voice storage device 5 for the subscriber A when the subscriber B is busy and allows the message arrival notice unit 7 to inform the electronic mail address of the subscriber B about the recorded notice.
