PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem such that a device which drives a plurality of VTRs synchronously for reproduction is complicated and expensive. SOLUTION: From video signals obtained from 1st and 2nd VTRs 1a and 1b, 1st and 2nd vertical synchronizing signals are separated. A reference time position is determined on the basis of a phase-delayed signal between the 1st and 2nd vertical synchronizing signals and phase difference signals between the reference time position and 1st and 2nd synchronizing signals are generated by a D type flip-flop. The capstan motor of the VTR generating the delayed vertical synchronizing signal is accelerated with output pulses of the D type flip-flop to synchronize the 1st and 2nd vertical synchronizing signals with each other.
