PURPOSE: A composition for removing a foot smell and treating athletes foot containing pyroligenous acid as a main component is provided, which is harmless to a human body and shows excellent deodorizing action against ammonia, trimethylamine, hydrogen sulfide and mercaptan. CONSTITUTION: This composition contains 0.1 to 50% by weight of pyroligenous acid and thiabendazole as a synergist. The pyroligenous acid is obtained by carbonizing raw wood at 70 to 100deg.C, collecting smoke and compulsively oxidizing. The pyroligenous acid contains 80 to 90% by weight of water, 10 to 20% by weight of an organic compound and other components.
