PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device writing two or more asynchronous image data in a common memory shared among channels, which reduces a loss time at channel changeover so as to enhance the average frame rate. SOLUTION: In the case of selecting a next channel, a channel counter 14 controls selectors 13, 16oq, 16pr so that a video decoder 3pr (3oq) other than the video decoder 3oq (3pr) selected by the selector 13 at present can be selected. Furthermore, an access control circuit 12 continuous writing pixel data of a current channel in the common memory 11 while the video decoder 3pr (3oq) selected next to take synchronization according to the instruction of a timing control section 15 and selects the channel even on the way of a frame for the image data at the current channel to start writing for a new channel.
