PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner, in which a gas engine and a compressor are compactly housed in a machine chamber, so that the engine and compressor is easily serviced. SOLUTION: In the air conditioner provided with the machine chamber 60, housing the compressor 2 driven by means of the gas engine 3, the engine 3 and compressor 2 are arranged vertically in two stages in the chamber 60 and connected to each other through a drive belt 37. In addition, a maintenance space 61 is provided adjacent to the belt 37.
