PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-split type air conditioner, capable of contributing to a reduction in size of the overall conditioner by mutually complementarily and rapidly eliminating oil deficiency in a plurality of compressors, improving the lifetime of each compressor and markedly improving reliability and reducing a volume of an oil separator. SOLUTION: At least one of indoor units 1, 2 is set to a heating mode, the residue is set to a cooling mode, and an outdoor unit of a heating mode is operated, and the outdoor unit of the cooling mode is stopped. Thus, a refrigerant discharged from a compressor of the outdoor unit of the heating mode is guided for pressurizing a case 10c of the compressor 10 of the outdoor unit of the cooling mode through a gas side piping 22, and a lubricating oil 'OIL' is fed out from the case 10c. This oil OIL is passed through an oil-moving tube 41, an oil recovery tube 45 and an oil balance tube 50, and supplemented to the compressor 10 of the outdoor unit of the heating mode.
