摘要 The continuous and air-permeable belt (12), to carry drawn sliver through a condensing zone at the sliver drawing unit for a spinning machine, has an upper surface with two different structures. One structured zone is at the belt drive roller (18), and the other surface carries the drawn sliver (10). The lower surface is designed to move smoothly over the sliding surface (14) at the condensing station. The under surface of the belt against the sliding surface (14) has a different structure from the zone at the upper surface which carries the drawn sliver (10). The structured surface in contact with the drive roller can be at the under side of the belt (12), with the smooth surface to slide over the condensing unit, when there is a lower drive roller. The structured surface to act with the drive roller (18) is at the edges of the belt (12), with a coarse surface structure, and is narrower than the other belt surfaces. The surface of the belt (12) to carry the drawn sliver (10) has a fine surface structure, or it is unstructured. The belt (12) has air permeability only at the surface which carries the drawn sliver (10) and the surface against the sliding surface (14) of the condensing unit, matching the dimensions of the suction slit (15).
