The assembly has a diagonal saw (4) and a test strip cutting saw (5) on a slide (10) with parallel saw blades (12,13) and a gap (s) between them. The test strip cutting saw (5) is only deployed when a board has a surplus length to be trimmed as a test strip for the laboratory. The saw blade gap (s) is 50-250 mm and preferred 100-150 mm.
