ISOLATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF A <i>N. CRASSA</i> SILENCING GENE AND USES THEREOF

An isolated nucleic acid molecule encoding for a protein characterized in that it has a silencing activity and comprises a domain responsible for dsRNA interference is disclosed; furthermore expression vectors suitable for the expression of said sequence in bacteria, plants, animals and fungi are disclosed; the invention refers also to organisms transformed by such vectors.
