PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock-type vibration generating device which can generate vibration with high-precision vibration characteristics. SOLUTION: The shock-type vibration generating device (1) is equipped with shock devices (3), which are arranged on reverse surface (2a) of a vibration table (2) and vibrate the vibration table, by applying a shock to the vibration table and a controller (5) which controls the vibration of the vibration table by the shock devices due to the shock devices, and each shock device is equipped with a main part (31) having an internal space, a magnetic collision body (33), which is arranged movably in the internal space of the main body to and away from the vibration table, a drive coil (34) which is wound to cover the magnetic collision member separately, and a current supply part (56) which applies a prescribed current to the drive coil and the specific AC current is applied to the drive coil under the current control of the controller, so as to cause the magnetic colliding body to move reciprocally, thereby giving shock to the vibration table.
