PURPOSE: To provide a wound protector which is excellent expandability and gas permeability, high in adaptability to the size of a wound, appropriate in absorbing the exudate such as blood, hydrophobic and water-repellent, and non-fixed to a wound part. CONSTITUTION: Narrow adhesive layers 3a, 3b are provided on at least an end of a tape-like knit base material 2, and the adhesive layer 3a, 3b are covered by releasing papers 4a, 4b. The knit base material 2 comprises a hydrophobic or water-repellent base structure and a water-absorbent insertion structure, and thus, it is free from adhesion to the wound, and absorbs the exudate to prevent any fixture to the wound. |
