PIN FOR RAILWAY VEHICLES AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a pin for railway vehicles is provided which has superior durability, external abrasion, maintenance and repairing properties by passing through cutting process using a material of carbon steel rolled round bar for machine structural use as a pin for railway vehicles that is assembled and mounted for using in fixing and rotational movement for driving and breaking of all railway vehicles. CONSTITUTION: In manufacturing a pin using carbon steel rolled round bar for machine structural use, the pin for railway vehicles and a method for manufacturing the same comprise the steps of cutting a rolled bar (1); quenching and tempering the cut rolled bar (2); high frequency heat treating the body part of the rolled bar (3); heating the head part of the rolled bar (4); forging the heated head part using a press (5); removing slag from the forged head part (6); finishing the body part of the rolled bar (7); drilling the body part of the rolled bar (8); and tempering the body part of the rolled bar (9).
