A building condition checking system is provided which comprises an owner information terminal by which a building owner makes a request via a public telephone network to read building condition information showing the actual building conditions of a building ordered from a building contractor; a contractor information terminal by which the buildi ng contractor uploads the building condition information; and a building condition information provision means for providing the building condition information uploaded from the contractor information terminal to the owner information terminal in response to a request from the owner information terminal.
