PURPOSE: A variable capacitor is provided to reduce the number of components and to stabilize a spring action for urging to elastically press a rotor toward a stator. CONSTITUTION: At a driver member(4) having one metal plate, a head(17) for disposing a driver groove(15), an engaging part(14) engaged with a rotor(3), and a spring functioning part(16) pressure contacted with the rotor(3) are integrally formed. In this case, the functioning part(16) has a first plate(19) folded from one end of the head(17) via a first folding part(18) and extended over a central shaft member(8), and a second plate(21) folded from a end of the plate(19) via a second folding part(20) and extended over a central shaft member(8). The second plate(21) is formed as a part pressure contacted with the rotor(3).
