PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a player feel as if he got a discharge of many prize balls in an ordinary playing state. SOLUTION: An upper limit setting processing determines whether a playing state is advantageous or not for a player when it receives playing state information. When the playing state is determined to be advantageous for a player (a jackpot is being hit, for example), the upper limit of a prescribed number of balls in a unit for prize balls to be discharged altogether is set maximum, while in another playing state (an ordinary playing state) the upper limit of a prescribed number of balls in a unit is set minimum.
