An alkoxylated fatty acid derivative is used in an aqueous agent containing plant micronutrients to improve penetration into the plants. The alkoxylated fatty acid derivatives have formula (I): RO-(C 2H 4O) n(C 3H 6O) m-R' (I) R : residue of saturated or unsaturated monovalent 1-6C alkanol or of 2-12C polyol with 2-6 OH groups; R' : H and/or -COR''; R'' : saturated or unsaturated 5-29C alkyl; n : 1-50; and m : 1-10. - ACTIVITY : Anabolic. - MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
