PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation device of an elevator capable of efficiently installing components of the elevator to be mounted on a bottom part of a hoistway in safety, and efficiently assembling a main part of a car at a lower part of the hoistway. SOLUTION: This installation device comprises an expandable and contractible leg part 8 mounted on a bottom part of the hoistway 2, a first pedestal 7 supported by the leg part 8 and mounted at a height position approximately equal to a floor of a landing 1, a floor board 9 demountably mounted on a position suitable for closing an opening part 7A of the pedestal 7, and a winch 6 mounted at an upper part of the floor board 9, a hoist 5 suspended by the winch 6 can be lowered to a pit 3 in safety through the opening 7A exposed by demounting the floor board 9. By mounting a second pedestal 11 of a predetermined height on the first pedestal 7, a crosshead 16 and a platform 17 loaded on the second pedestal 11 can be easily fastened to an upper part and a lower part of a spring 15 in safety.
