PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reformer 1 improved in durability, thermal efficiency, reliability and the like by using a special structural material as the structural material for the reformer in which the hydrogen to be used in a solid polymer type fuel cell system is obtained by reforming a raw material through the reaction with water vapor. SOLUTION: A heating tube 3 for giving reaction heat to a reforming catalyst is constructed of a vessel-shaped upper structural member 21 comprising a curved surface part convex toward the entrance side for the reforming material gas and a cylindrical part, and a cylindrical member 22 welded to the upper structural member 21. The heating tube 3 has a combustor 8 in it. |
