PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality casting free from cracking under the skin, and its manufacturing method capable of preventing reduction in yield as well as in productive efficiency. SOLUTION: The casting has a composition consisting of, by mass, 0.10-0.30% C, 0.2-2.5% Si, 0.2-2% Mn, 20-35% Cr, 20-50% Ni, 0.2-1.5% Ti, 0.005-0.5% Al, <0.01% N and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and satisfying Si+Al=0.205 to 2.0%. A molten steel in a ladle before casting is subjected to denitriding treatment, or a melting material of <0.01% N content is used. In either case, casting is performed while regulating the degree of superheating of the molten steel in the ladle to 60-100 deg.C.
