PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water container to be charged with water for a smoke emitting apparatus, capable of measuring and holding a fixed amount of water without causing excess and deficiency and sufficiently carrying out a hydration reaction. SOLUTION: This water container for a smoke emitting apparatus is characterized in that the water container for the smoke emitting apparatus which is brought into contact with water to emit smoke comprises a container main body to hold water and an upper cover and the upper cover is provided with a part to be made into a metering cup capable of measuring the amount of water to be held in the container main body. The upper cover of the container is characterized in that the upper cover is furnished with the part to be made into the metering cup. The container is characterized in that the container has an approximately prismatic shape. The container is characterized in that the container has an apparatus installation part which is somewhat larger than the bottom of the smoke emitting apparatus at the central part of the bottom of the container main body and is used for placing the smoke emitting apparatus, the circumference of the apparatus installation part has a false bottom and the inside of the container main body has an inclined rib so that the smoke emitting apparatus is disposed at the central part of the apparatus installation part.
