PURPOSE: Provided are bottom sand for growing an aquatic plant and an aquarium for growing an aquatic plant using the bottom sand which purifies the water contained in the aquarium. CONSTITUTION: The bottom sand contains a granular sintering agent comprising volcanic ashes as an main ingredient, and binding between granules is broken down when pressurizing it in a depth of 1.0cm with a pressure of 25kg/cm¬2. The aquarium contains the bottom sand on its bottom and a water circulation device. The sintering gent absorbs impurities in the water then filters them. |
