PURPOSE: An in-line type electron gun of a cathode ray tube is provided to achieve a forward focusing of beams horizontally and perpendicularly when the beams are deflected toward a screen peripheral area. CONSTITUTION: In an in-line type electron gun of a cathode ray tube, an electrode among electrodes used as a front focusing lens and a main lens respectively includes: the first electrode(111) for receiving a dynamic voltage synchronized by a desired deflection current amount; the second electrode(112) for receiving a static voltage lower than the dynamic voltage applied to the first electrode; the third electrode(113) for receiving a dynamic voltage which is increased or decreased lower than the static voltage applied to the second electrode in a deflection interval; and the fourth electrode(114) for receiving a static voltage lower than the dynamic voltage applied to the third electrode.
