PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indwelling catheter capable of being indwelt in the urethra by one-action operation and capable of being simply detached. SOLUTION: The indwelling catheter 1 is equipped with a flexible tube having a plurality of longitudinally extended slits provided in the vicinity of the leading end theroef, a core wire 6 arranged so as to be freely moved in an axial direction along the malecot tube and fixed to the leading end of the malecot tube at its leading end, the cylindrical connector 2 fixed to the base end of the tube and protruding the base end of the core wire from the end part thereof and a rubber member for restricting the free movement of the core wire. A knob 7 is attached to the base end of the core wire 6 and an opening and a lid are provided in the connector 2. When the catheter 1 is inserted in the urethra 20 in such a state that a part 16 is closed and the knob 7 is pulled this side, the core wire 6 slides this side and the malecot part 16 is expanded. When the core wire 6 is pushed in, the malecot 16 is closed to make it possible to extract the catheter. |
