biotechnology, biochemistry, microbiology. SUBSTANCE: strain Penicillium funiculosum KM MGU-433 shows high activity of glucose oxidase. Extracellular glucose oxidase is obtained by culturing the strain in medium containing potassium nitrate as a single source of nitrogen. Medium has also sucrose, phosphates, magnesium sulfate and sources of trace elements. The proposed strain and method provide the yield of extracellular glucose oxidase 140-150 U/ml of medium.
