<p>Firmware of a battery pack (2) is stored in rewritable memory means, such as a flash memory (8). For measures against disturbances or the improvement in function, a personal computer (host apparatus) (1) receives update firmware from a memory medium or the Internet, and allows firmware transmission means (12) to transmit it to a battery pack (2) through a SMBus (5). Firmware rewrite means (11) of the battery pack (2) rewrites the firmware stored in the flash memory (8) based on the update firmware.</p> |
