<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP packet transfer method and an IP packet repeating system which actualizes the transfer of IP packets in a large-scale ATM network as easily as possible with superior scalability. SOLUTION: The IP packet transfer method has a routing function for IP packets based upon IP address, a forwarding function of the IP packet and a signaling function for ATM, an ATM connection is set by associating the routing function and signaling function with each other, and IP packets are forwarded through the ATM connection.</p> |
