1,044,222. Toothed gearing. CAMERON MACHINE CO. March 12, 1964 [April 10, 1963], No. 10499/64. Heading F2Q. A journal 22 of a cutter-carrying mandrel 16 is rotatably mounted in an eccentric sleeve 26, so that the position of the axis of journal 22 is adjustable about the axis of a driving shaft 64, and a pinion 66 rigid with the end of the journal 22 meshes an internally-toothed gear 70 secured to the driving shaft 64. An adjacent cutter-carrying mandrel 18 is mounted in a similar manner, and the toothed gears 70 carry intermeshing external teeth 82 so that the mandrels rotate in opposite directions on rotation of driving shaft 64. Angular adjustment of the sleeves is effected by gearing, comprising intermeshing gears 48, secured to the ends of the sleeves 26 and gears 52 on a shaft 50 which is adapted to be driven through reduction gearing from a hand-held motor. |
