PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image with high definition by defining the relation among the size of a picture element, a beam diameter, a photoreceptor layer thickness, and the toner grain size diameter. SOLUTION: In the image forming device, a specific inequality is satisfied by the layer thickness (d) (μm) of the photoreceptor 5, l/e2 in the main scanning direction of the peak strength in an optical beam 6, and l/(e)2 radius ωy (μm) in the sub-scanning direction, and moreover the size λx (μm) of the picture element in the main scanning direction that is defined as the inverse number of recording density, and further more the size λy (μm)y of the picture element in the sub-scanning direction. |
