A method of electric erosion machining, at which to the spark gap the first voltage pulse is consecutively applied, which initiates the breakdown of the spark gap, and then the operating pulse, consists in that during working first the optimum voltage is applied to the spark gap for selected mode, and in the presence of breakdown in the assigned time interval the current pulse of high energy is applied to the spark gap. The time of supply of power pulse is limited by fictitious time (T), and the time, during which it is possible to apply the current pulse to the spark gap, which is defined as 1/3 of duration of current pulse.
