SHEET SHAPED LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device resistant to any of positive and negative pressure without reduction of the contrast of a display image and to provide an improved manufacturing method, wherein the liquid crystal display device can be manufactured while using a mixture of a liquid crystal and UV curing resin without necessity of spacers to be dispersed and to lie between. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is manufactured by using a pair of sheet shaped base materials 10 and 20 having electrodes 11 and 21 and projecting rib materials 12 and 22 disposed between respective electrodes of at least one base material to secure the interval between the both base materials. A mixture of a liquid crystal 30 and curing resin 40 is applied between the both base materials and voltage is applied between the both electrodes to separate the liquid crystal and the curing resin which is then cured.
